Updating to AtomOS 09.40.02

Fixes:

  • Fix for issue with Monitoring Video in 4x ISO Mode

Refer to the AtomOS 09.40.02 Release Notes for more information on the new features, improvements, and known limitations.

Firmware Update Procedure:

ATOMOS recommends that your Sumo 19SE is plugged into mains power before commencing the firmware update.

  1. Insert a compatible, formatted SSD into the Docking Station.
  2. Unzip the downloaded file and copy the ATOMSSE.FW file to the root of the SSD.
  3. Eject the SSD (according to operating system guidelines).
  4. Insert the SSD into the Sumo 19SE.
  5. Power on the Sumo 19SE and the firmware update process will begin automatically.
  6. If your Sumo 19SE is already powered on, you will be prompted to perform the firmware update when a drive containing new firmware is inserted.
  7. Once the update is complete, your Sumo 19SE will power itself down.
  8. Power your Sumo 19SE back on.
  9. To verify if the firmware update was successfully completed, navigate to the info menu where the currently installed firmware version is listed.

Firmware Update Procedure

Atomos recommends that your Sumo PRO-19 is plugged into a power source before commencing the firmware update (DC power supply, USB-C PD or battery eliminator).

  1. Unzip the downloaded file and copy the firmware file onto a compatible, formatted CFexpress card or USB-C SSD.
  2. Insert or connect the media to the Sumo PRO-19.
  3. With the Sumo PRO-19 powered on, navigate to the Firmware menu and press Choose File.
  4. Select the file you copied to your media. The file will be copied onto the device and the unit will return to the Firmware menu.
  5. Press Install to begin the installation process.
  6. Once installation is complete, the device will restart and run the new firmware.
  7. To confirm the update, navigate to the main menu and open the Info tab.
