Using camera to cloud to capture wedding ceremonies

Peter Ali, of Mocha Films, not only prides himself as a wedding videographer, but also a visual storyteller. He travels around the world capturing weddings in different environments and trusts his Atomos Ninja V and Sony a7S III camera to help bring the story to life.

Peter knows all too well that with special occasions, there are no second chances at capturing the perfect shot, which is why he uses an effective set-up allowing him to deliver the completed footage within a fast timescale. This is exactly what he was able to achieve with the Sony A7SIII camera combined with the Ninja V and Atomos Connect module.

Peter utilises the tools within the Ninja V to ensure he captures the all-important shot first time around. “The built-in features of the Ninja V make sure I am exposing properly, and that my footage is in focus. They have not only helped my confidence getting the shot first time, but they have made me a better shooter.”

“I’m backed-up from the moment I hit record, and having all that at my disposable not only enables me to get better shots it just makes shooting more enjoyable.”

While Peter records the wedding, the Atomos Connect module simultaneously uploads the footage through Camera to Cloud. Having all his clips stored in Frame.io means that Peter can start work on providing his clients with edited teasers of their special day straight away.

“As a business owner, elevating my client’s experience is my priority. As a filmmaker, creating engaging content is my priority. Using the Ninja V with the Atomos Connect saves me time and enables me to be better at both of those things,” Peter concludes.
