INTRODUCING

New features

Camera control

A much-requested feature from original Shinobi users, camera control is now possible thanks to the addition of the USB-C connection.

Using intuitive, on-screen sliders you can adjust white balance, lens aperture, shutter speed/angle and ISO. A red edge display indicates when the camera is recording internally, whether triggered by the camera or from the Shinobi II.

Shinobi II can control most Canon, Fujifilm, Nikon, Panasonic, and Sony mirrorless cameras over USB-C, and all Z CAM E2 series models (LANC cable required, purchased separately). Cameras from OM System and SIGMA will be supported with future firmware updates.

Touch to focus

AtomOS 11.02.00 adds the ability to set the camera’s focus point directly via the touch screen interface of the Shinobi II.

Compatible cameras with the Touch to Focus feature:
Canon: EOS R6 Mark II
Fujifilm: GFX100 II & X-S20
Nikon: Z9
Panasonic: LUMIX S5 II & LUMIX S5 II X
Sony: A7 IV, A7S III, & ZV-E10 II

Shutter Release

Allows photo capture triggering directly from the Shinobi II’s touchscreen. This is particularly useful when shooting multiple exposures for HDR bracketing, focus stacking, or similar workflows.

Cable locking

Atomos has developed a unique and rugged locking ecosystem to maintain a secure grip on connected HDMI and USB-C cables and Shinobi II is supplied with a special bracket to facilitate this. With Atomos locking cables (purchased separately) it is the most robust capture cable system available today. Shinobi II is also fully compatible with standard, non-locking cables.

Camera Control

Control Canon, Fujifilm, Nikon, Panasonic, Sony over USB-C and Z CAM cameras over LANC (more vendors to be supported with future firmware releases)

See the bigger picture

A monitor that packs a punch

With its stunning 5-inch, 10-bit HDR/SDR display, Shinobi II lets you see your images clearly, even in bright daylight. The 1500 nit screen features a special anti-reflective coating and anti-fingerprint technology.

High dynamic range

The Shinobi II screen displays a stunning 10+ stops of dynamic range in real-time from Log/PQ/HLG signals. Combined with our unique HDR monitoring features, the Shinobi II simplifies the complexities of shooting Log and HDR, helping you to replicate post-production workflows when it matters most – while shooting. We look after the technology so you can focus on the image.

Calibrated, true-to-eye colors

Calibration is the key to a trustworthy monitor. Shinobi II can be calibrated with Calibrite Display Pro HL / Plus HL probe, or using the Atomos Calibrator app, for ongoing accurate HDR and Rec.709 monitoring. Accurate monitoring ensures reliable results.

SLIM & LIGHTWEIGHT

Slender splendour

Shinobi is all about portability, and even though we’ve added more hardware functionality, we’ve redesigned and reshaped its body to keep the weight down to just 210 grams. Lightweight and elegant, Shinobi II is your camera’s new best friend.
