By Atomos

NAB, Las Vegas – 19th April 2026: Atomos (booth #C4731) today announced Sumo PRO-19, an all-new 19-inch 4K HDR monitor-recorder-switcher that’s purpose-built for cinematic on-set production and video village environments. Building on the foundation of the widely adopted Sumo 19SE, this new model represents a significant step forward, positioning itself not just as a 4K monitoring tool, but with the addition of camera control and network C2C connectivity it’s a central control hub for on-set collaboration and beyond.

Designed as a central hub for on-set collaboration, Sumo PRO-19 delivers precise, color-accurate monitoring and control for confident creative decision-making, from lighting and exposure through to final image review.

Sumo PRO-19 supports recording in Apple ProRes, ProRes RAW, Avid DNx and H.265 codecs from SDI or HDMI sources, with up to 10-bit 4:2:2 quality, and supports high-resolution RAW workflows up to 8K. Media can be recorded internally to high-speed CFexpress cards or externally to USB-C storage, offering versatile options for high-data-rate workflows.

“Sumo PRO-19 is designed with the realities of modern film sets in mind,” said Peter Barber, Atomos CEO. “From the video village to the DIT cart, its 4K screen delivers a dependable, color-accurate image that empowers on-set decision making and enables every department to stay aligned creatively. It’s not just a monitor—it’s a central hub for on-set collaboration.”

Beyond just capture, Sumo PRO-19 functions as a secure backup recorder for redundancy, an instant review station for directors and clients, and a confidence monitor for critical viewing. Built-in Atomos monitoring tools include EL Zone™ false color, focus peaking, waveform, Log-to-LUT viewing, frame guides, safe areas, anamorphic de-squeeze, HDR-to-Rec.709 conversion, and quad-view monitoring. Frequently used exposure, framing, and monitoring tools can be quickly accessed via new, user-definable function buttons on the front of the panel.

Sumo PRO-19 also offers touchscreen control over key camera parameters including start/stop, ISO, shutter, aperture, and white balance for supported cameras, as well as touch to focus. The ability to control cameras remotely is especially valuable in situations where the camera itself is difficult to access during shooting, for example when mounted on cranes, jibs, or ceiling rigs.

Engineered for connected workflows, Sumo PRO-19 features integrated Wi-Fi and Ethernet, with support for cloud–based collaboration. DITs can upload footage directly to ATOMOSphere, Frame.io, Dropbox, and other camera-to-cloud services, enabling near real-time review and faster turnaround for distributed teams.

AirGlu™ timecode technology over RF or Bluetooth ensures precise synchronization with cameras and production devices across set.

Connectivity is further enhanced with NDI® HX3 support for both send and receive, enabling broadcast-quality video, audio, and metadata transmission over standard Ethernet or Wi-Fi—ideal for flexible video village and remote production setups.

Professional audio integration includes two full-size XLR inputs with 48V phantom power, along with dedicated meters, gain control, and frame-accurate audio delay for seamless audio-video sync.

With its sleek, new-look chassis, Sumo PRO-19 is designed to be the centerpiece of modern on-set production, DIT workflows, and video village environments.
