				<a:heading>The Ninja and Nikon's D4 and D800</a:heading>

				<h7>Atomos Ninja and Nikon D4 / Nikon D800 the perfect combination for recording uncompressed HD</h7>
				<img src="/ninja-d4-setup-rgb.jpg" alt="" width="150" /><img src="/images/nikond4andninja.jpg" width="150" alt=""/>

				<p>See here the combination of the Nikon D4 and Atomos Ninja, the ultimate bang-for -buck combination for recording high quality images, in 4:2:2 Apple ProRes, directly to HDD, or to SSD if you prefer. <a href="http://www.atomos.com/press/articles/press004-NikonD4.xml">Read more</a></p>
				<p>AtomOS 2.2 Ninja Firmware required to record native 24P, 25P and 30P from the Nikon D4/D800 sensor <a href="http://www.atomos.com/ninja/firmware/">download</a>. You must also ensure the internal memory cards of the camera (Sd and CF) are removed when recording to the Ninja.</p>
				<p>To enable the true progressive output mode of the D800, the camera settings need to be:
					<ul>
						<li>Movie Mode (which ever mode you want 108024, 25, or 30p)</li>
						<li>HDMI Out settings - AUTO</li>
						<li>No Cards in the camera (CF or SD)</li>
					</ul>
				</p>
				<p>You must activate live view on the D800 to record to the ninja.The Ninja will auto detect the Progressive signal from the sensor, when the signal is locked , it will be displayed on the Ninja in the correct format and frame rate. (This may take up to half a second for the signals between the devices to be established.) If you have any questions or queries please email support@atomos.com.</p>

				<a:heading>Ninja Workflow</a:heading>

				<h7>Recording Directly to Apple ProRes HQ, 422 or LT</h7>
				<img src="/workflow-stacked-noheader_original.png" alt=""/>

				<p>Hidden inside Ninja's compact design is a hardware implementation of Apple's ProRes codec: a bit-perfect rendition of Apple's professional compression system that's designed to leave your final images looking as good as when they first hit your camera's sensor. Apple gave us the thumbs-up for our implementation and have allowed us to market and sell the Ninja with Apple ProRes.</p>

				<h7>Touch Screen, Monitor, Playback</h7>
				<img src="/ninja/gui_306.jpg" alt="" style="width:100%;"/>

				<p>Ninja is simple to use as well, with a no-nonsense, intuitive touchscreen that doubles as a viewfinder and playback monitor. Ninja eliminates the need for a separate monitor, external high quality recorder and large battery by combining these three pro-video essentials in into one clever portable device.</p>
				<h7>Ultra-Low Power for Long Running Times</h7>
				<p>The Ninja consumes very little power, and is designed from the ground up to be a low power device to ensure long recording times and efficient use of batteries. Creating portable equipment with an ultra-low power consumption is an expertise that we're please to have in-house at Atomos. Cutting power consumption leads to affordable running costs, a more efficient workflow and a financial improvement for your business.</p>

				<h7>ATOMOS Continuous Battery Technology</h7>
        <img src="/ninja/media/main unit/ninja_at0068_rear_assemb-thumb.png" alt="" style="width:100%;"/>
				<p>Atomos' unique battery-looping technology means that you never have to interrupt a Ninja recording to swap power cells. Just unplug the old battery and replace it with a fully charged one. We call it Continuous Power!</p>

				<h7>Infinite Affordable 2.5" Storage</h7>
        <img src="/hddssd.png" alt="" style="width:100%"/>
				<b>Up to 750GB or 16.5 hours recording on each disk.</b>
				<p>2.5" spinning disks or flash memory-based SSD's are the most reliable and affordable types of storage on the planet. Use super-cheap spinning disks (up to 750GB HDD) for everday studio and event work and switch instantly to flash based SSD's to give you the robust recording in vibration-sensitive or harsh recording environments. This is the same flash memory as in Compact Flash, SxS, P2 and SDHC cards but at a fraction the cost.</p>
					<h7>Ready-to-Edit</h7>
				<p>Ninja takes you into the efficient and cost-effective world of file-based workflows. By recording directly to a production-quality, edit-friendly format, it bypasses the camera’s codec and eliminates the time-consuming capture process.<br/>
The Ninja’s tight integration with Apple ProRes® means recorded footage is instantly and natively editable in:

<a:list>
			<ul><strong>
				<li>Final Cut</li>
				<li>Media Composer</li>
				<li>Premiere</li>
				<li>Edius</li>
				<li>Vegas</li>
				<li>Lightworks</li>
			</strong>	</ul>
			</a:list>

And remember – Apple ProRes® is better editing codecs than long-GOP delivery or in-camera codecs like MPEG2, AVCHD etc – easily exceeding broadcast production bitrate requirements. Simply insert your Master Caddy Disk into the Docking Station (FW800 &amp; USB 3/2) to start editing instantly – or transfer your footage to a SAN or NAS for central storage and collaborative editing.</p>
