Atomos Shogun 7 Ultra

The 7″ Shogun Ultra Monitor-Recorder expands on the Atomos Shogun line with built-in network connectivity for mirrorless, DSLR, and cinema cameras, streamlining modern workflows. Cloud-based features include dual ProRes RAW and H.265 recording for Camera to Cloud, automatic file name syncing with leading cine cameras, and 4K H.265 capture for immediate sharing or publishing. Developed in collaboration with top camera manufacturers, the Shogun Ultra ensures broad compatibility across a growing list of supported systems.

AtomOS 11

Running on AtomOS 11, the Shogun Ultra introduces new tools such as EL Zone exposure mapping, ARRI false color, scheduled recording, and advanced playback options. It also supports an expanded range of codecs including Apple ProRes RAW up to 8K, DNxHD, and H.265, giving professionals more flexibility in post-production.

Complete Connectivity

The Shogun Ultra offers enhanced codec support, allowing Apple ProRes RAW recording up to 8K, DNxHD, and H.265. Dual recording enables full-quality ProRes RAW capture up to UHD 4K60 while simultaneously recording 1080p60 in H.265, perfect for cine workflows. File name matching integrates smoothly with ARRI, Canon, RED, and Sony cameras for consistent metadata. Monitoring tools have been refined with EL Zone and ARRI false color, and the new RemoteView function lets you share your live screen feed over the internet.

NDI TX Option

With the optional NDI TX upgrade, the Shogun Ultra can transmit high-quality video over standard networks, including Wi-Fi and mobile connections, using minimal bandwidth. This feature makes it possible to integrate the Shogun into live production setups as an NDI source, accessible to other authorized devices across the network.

Ultra bright Screen

The Shogun Ultra’s 7″ display delivers a brightness of 2000 cd/m², providing clear, accurate HDR monitoring in virtually any environment. Indoors or outdoors, the ultra bright screen ensures your footage is easy to review. Recently captured shots can also be played back instantly on the same display for on-set evaluation or direct upload to the cloud.

Durable Build

Designed for professional use, the Shogun Ultra features a rugged housing that performs in demanding environments. It includes a tally light for quick recording status checks and reliable Wi-Fi and AirGlu RF antennas for stable wireless transmission. Power options include the integrated L-series battery plate or an optional DC input. Mounting is flexible with 3/8″-16 threads on the top and bottom, plus an included 1/4″-20 adapter. Storage options cover the Master Caddy III system, SD cards up to 4TB, and CFast II media via SSDmini adapter, so recording can continue as long as your media lasts. A USB-C port provides expansion and future AtomOS updates.
