Release Notes

NEW FEATURES/BUG FIXES:

  • Native D800 1080p24, 25 & 30 recording directly to the Ninja.
  • To enable the true progressive output mode of the D800, the camera settings need to be:
  • Movie Mode (whichever mode you choose: 108024, 25, or 30p)
  • HDMI Out settings – AUTO
  • No Cards in the camera (CF or SD)
  • You must activate live view on the D800 to record to the Ninja.
  • The Ninja will auto detect the Progressive signal from the sensor, when the signal is locked , it will be displayed on the Ninja in the correct format and frame rate (NB: this may take up to half a second for the signals between the devices to be established.)

UPDATE PROCEDURE

  1. Download and unzip (if necessary) the ATOMxxx.FW file
  2. Copy the file onto a recommended, formatted drive, using the docking station included with your recorder
  3. Insert the drive into the Atomos recorder
  4. Power up the Atomos recorder
  5. The screen will show flashing lines of colour. This is normal – DO NOT power off!
  6. Updating will take a few minutes
  7. Once completed, the Atomos recorder will power down
  8. Power up the Atomos recorder again
  9. Check Menu > Info > Firmware Version – this should match the version you have just downloaded
  10. Continue to enjoy your updated Atomos recorder!
